The Young Scientist Research Award:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women for Science IANAS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CALL FOR IANAS ACADEMIES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IANAS Women for Science have decided to call for the Third edition of the Young Scientist Research Award, intended for young female scientists who have recently defended their PhD theses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IANAS is an affiliated Regional Network of the InterAmerican Partnership (IAP), Therefore the prize is coordinated and supported by both these organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prize<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winning nominee will be allocated U$S 1500 dollars to spend in suitable activities related to her research work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The biography of the winner will be posted on the IANAS-WfS webpage, and a certificate award will also be issued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility Criteria<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Female PhD<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Obtained her PhD after 31\/12\/2018<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Performing scientific work in her country in the fields of: Life Sciences, Social<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Sciences, Natural Sciences or Technological Sciences<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Participants<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Honoring the principles of our organizations, the Prize will be for a woman scientist from one of the following countries:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Bolivia<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • CAS (Caribbean)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Colombia<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Costa Rica<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Cuba<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Dominican Republic<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Guatemala<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Honduras<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Nicaragua<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Panam\u00e1<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Per\u00fa<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Uruguay<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Venezuela<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Dates<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Application Deadline: July 5th<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Application Process<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The candidate should send her application in English to her Academy of Science with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      – CV, limited to 5 pages, including name of graduate degree, name of institution, thesis title, research and work experience, publications, presentations, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      – Short summary, 250 words of her research interests<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Proposal for Candidates<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      IANAS WfS invites the Science Academies of the countries listed above to nominate ONE candidate from their respective Academy countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Selection process<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      A Selection Committee will be chosen by IANAS-WfS, made up of members from the nonparticipating countries – which wil nominate a highly recognized scientist to sit on the Selection Committee.
