Es Doctor y Master en Ciencias Marinas y Costeras. Cuenta con m\u00e1s de 15 a\u00f1os estudiando y analizando Sistemas Pesqueros.<br><br>En la conferencia explic\u00f3 las aproximaciones emergentes en la investigaci\u00f3n y gesti\u00f3n de pesquer\u00edas como lo es el enfoque de los Sistemas Socio-ecol\u00f3gicos, centr\u00e1ndose en tres l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n que han surgido en este campo y que pretenden identificar interacciones que se dan entre el componente humano y el ecol\u00f3gico del sistema pesquero. Estas tres l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n permiten estimular la generaci\u00f3n de conocimiento en el estudio de dichas interacciones con el fin de proponer lineamientos de manejo.<br><br>Las l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n son las fuerzas externas de cambio, la trampa socio ecol\u00f3gica y los enfoques diagn\u00f3stico.<br><br>Explic\u00f3 sobre c\u00f3mo es posible guiar el modelo de gesti\u00f3n socio-ecol\u00f3gico mediante la aproximaci\u00f3n de la gobernanza adaptativa, utilizando la construcci\u00f3n de escenarios para rastrear posibles trayectorias en la din\u00e1mica de procesos tanto ecol\u00f3gicos como humanos en la pesca. Esto va a permitir integrar diferentes fuentes de conocimiento en un proceso de aprendizaje y toma de decisiones.
